Tonhwa Grape Wine Co. Ltd. has agreed to pay $6.6 million to purchase a 70 percent share of King's Court Estate Winery of Canada.
Tonhwa's decision to purchase a controlling interest in the Ontario vineyard will enable the Chinese company to tap into advanced icewine producing techniques.
Tonhwa, founded in 1937, is based in Jilin province and already makes icewine.
