Day 284 Drink: Duck-Rabbit Whiskey Barrel Aged Milk Stout

The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery specializes in making dark beer at its North Carolina brewery. On Saturday at the World Beer Festival in Durham, the brewer's hospitality area located high in the stands near the right field foul pole featured a real treat, a keg of Duck-Rabbit Whiskey Barrel Aged Milk Stout.

Duck-Rabbit Whiskey Barrel Aged Milk Stout pours a thick black color with a thin tan head. There is a sweet aroma to the brew that is a cross between the roasted grains and Bourbon notes. The flavor is an explosion of great stuff. It has a silky mouthfeel that is punctuated by dark chocolate, berries, vanilla and the sweet edge of the Bourbon.
