Day 345 Drink: Sierra Nevada 2010 Celebration Fresh Hop Ale
Sierra Nevada Brewing made its first edition of Celebration Ale back in 1981. Since that time it has been one of the most anticipated of the holiday seasonal beer offerings.
Sierra Nevada 2010 Celebration Fresh Hop Ale pours a nice amber color with a thick off white head. There is a pretty intense hop nose to this 6.8 percent alcohol by volume brew. The 65 IBU really come through, with Chinook used as the bittering hop, Cascade and Centennial used for finishing, then those same two hops used for dry hopping the beer. The result is a pine tree wonderland of a brew that will go very well with holiday feasts.
